Iron deficiency anaemia is the most common type of anaemia. It is also called sideropenic anaemia, deriving from Latin sìderos meaning iron and penìa meaning lacking. A condition where there are inadequate levels of iron circulating throughout the body, thus compromising the transport of oxygen in the blood causing, for example, tiredness and fatigue, paleness, lack of appetite, headaches and shortness of breath.
IMOpro FERRUM Boost is a food supplement containing SunActive® Fe iron; Lactoferrin; Copper; Quatrefolic® folic acid; and Vitamins C, B6 and B12. The patented SunActive® microencapsulation process is a modern technology whereby micronized salt particles are obtained and then microencapsulated through the use of emulsifiers. In this way, iron is protected from gastric juice attacks and is thus able to arrive unharmed in the intestine, where it will be more easily absorbed. Folic acid contained in IMOpro FERRUM Boost is also the result of Quatrefolic® patented process: enabling it to pass through the gastric barrier without getting altered and thus aiding its intestinal absorption.

SunActive® Iron
Iron is an essential trace element for the body: being part of both cellular respiration and the formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin.
